The Gallery at 38 Cameron

"The Gallery at 38 Cameron seeks to discover and display cutting edge work that expresses the beauty, potential and evolutionary development of our common humanity. It is this beauty that transcends and embraces our individual and collective histories and cultures. We feature artists working in a variety of media, who offer a fresh view of the world and bring deeper dimension to our lives. We are looking to host both collaborative and solo shows.

Formerly a warehouse and furniture factory, 38 Cameron was recently renovated into contemporary office and meeting spaces. The Gallery at 38 Cameron is a recent development in the on-going transformation of this unique space.

The Gallery at 38 Cameron will be open to the public on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11am-6pm and by appointment. 38 Cameron Avenue, Suite 100, Cambridge, MA 02140 | Phone: 617-492-4091 | www.38cameron.com

Kelvy Bird

Warped inquires into the effect of imposing forces on an otherwise harmonious state. In response to a shift in energy, the newly effected parts might crumble, separate, and disperse. Or they might bend, realign and mend. In either case, a new dynamic emerges from the interruption. What was, at one point in time, has markedly shifted. A form, once intact, has new structures at play. More on Combinations

Marc Leavitt

"This series [The Lessons of Muso Kokushi] represents my exploration of meditative abstraction. Muso Kokushi, a fourteenth-century Zen priest and founder of a pared-down aesthetic in landscape design, inspired me to interpret the flower beds around my home as reflections on balance, color, and form. The Kokushi series includes meditations on twenty-four flowering plants including bee balm, black-eyed Susan, cone flower, coreopsis, daffodil, daisy, hosta, lupine, sunflower, and yarrow. The essence of a beautiful moment is what I try to create as a feeling, as I do not try to recreate anything." www.marcleavitt.com

Riki Moss

"Riki Moss is a Somerville artist specializing in encaustic art, a process where pigment is added to a medium of melted wax and resin and applied to prepared boards. Encaustic is an ancient technique, durable and magical: glowing from its core, vibrant and mysterious. Riki's pieces have a a rich and varied expression of color, movement and form." www.rikimoss.com
