Transitions

For times when life flow needs some encouragement and next moves some clarification...

The Symbols Process

"The Symbols Process is a way to reflect on your life direction and purpose. It is a gift of personal clarity, and practical next steps that are rooted in your central core of meaning.

Your life is characterized by personal qualities and a particular calling that is uniquely your own. This inner thread of meaning naturally expresses differently depending on your stage of life and the circumstances in which you find yourself. This thread informs your life all the time, but often ducks out of sight, and hides in dark recesses. It speaks to you in many languages – through the heart, through your body, in symbol, through insight – emerging from what we call an underlying 'wisdom field'.

The Symbols Process is the thoughtful construction of an environment that invites this deeper life theme out of hiding. It gives you a systematic way to embrace your life as it presently is, and listen to the many languages describing the next integral steps of your story. And it anchors your movement into the future in your inherent calling."

Coming Into Your Own

... a personal development program for women who are interested in engaging in a process of reflection, exploration and regeneration. The program is particularly, but not exclusively, designed for women who are experiencing transition, mid-career challenges, or who wish to consciously create or transform the next phase of their lives. Participants are encouraged to bring with them a current work or life challenge they want to examine, understand and begin to resolve.

The Ashland Institute, developers of both the Symbols Process and Coming Into Your Own programs, teaches the personal and collective capabilities needed to fulfill the promise of collaboration and creative community. Our offerings focus on skilled Dialogue and individual anchoring in Essential Self — both necessary to thrive in the intensities of our time."
